So since there's been no recent news since 3.0 I figured a little update is in order. Once again Dissension starts about a week behind everyone else, not that we missed much.

As you may have guessed, as of whatever today is, everything is dead from 10 to 25 mans. No server firsts, no group shots just some recycled models and a resounding "that's it?" from everyone. Not that we mind easy raids some things seem a little too easy, or maybe they're better tuned. I'm thinking the latter, pre-nerf gruul anyone? Either way, everything's dead and we have shiny new/recycled loot. Naxx is fun, Malygos is batshit insane fun and Sartharion is stupid easy killing the drakes first. Looks like leaving the drakes up will have to do for our masochistic wipes fix.

Kil'jaeden has lost the game.

After hearing about the 3.0 HP nerf, we decided that we'd rather take a few weeks off from raid stacking and impossible wipes knowing that the next time we step into this place that we'd demolish it. It didn't work out quite as we had planned though.

Our first 3.0 raid was Wednesday night, and we one-shotted every boss up to Kil'jaeden in roughly 1.5 hours. It's really sad what Blizzard has done to this place - the class improvements alone would have been enough to make Sunwell a lot more tolerable. Now we're killing Brutallus even though a tank and two DPS died at 40%, we're killing Felmyst before her second flight, we're killing the Twins after the entire melee group dies from conflag, and we're killing M'uru on a 2 minute transition (and we could have done that in 1 minute really). Sunwell can probably be 15 manned now.

So after clearing Kil'jaeden's trash, we opted to take a 10 minute break and thought we'd have a shot at killing Kil'jaeden that night because of past experience. Then the server went down for a few hours. Bleeding Hollow was the only server that remained down for longer than a few minutes Wednesday night. Bullshit. We called the raid and decided to give it a shot Thursday.

As soon as we started forming Thursday night's raid, the server crashed. Of course. This time we took a 1 hour break and luckily by the time that was over, everything was up and running again! We formed the raid quickly, and a few attempts later, we finally completed Sunwell to the soundtrack of tepid cheers. Don't get me wrong, we're happy that we finished it, but it's bittersweet. We put a LOT of hard work into this place, and now anybody at ANY BC GEAR LEVEL can do Sunwell. The excitement DID pick up when we found out that Kil'jaeden dropped us a legendary bow on our first kill, grats to Kodra!

As a raid leader throughout Sunwell and the rest of this expansion, I want to thank everybody who got us to this point with their countless nights of dedication to the success of this guild. Some raided long ago but were unable to make the full journey for one reason or other. Others raided to the end though they grew to hate it a long time ago, but showed up because of the people. If you ever participated in a raid with this guild, help stock the bank, drove good players to be recruited here, anything, you helped us get to this point. There's way too many to thank individually, but you guys know who you are.

Now it's time to really take it easy! Here's to success in the expansion!

After summer vacations, hurricanes, and prison (She was 14) - M'uru is finally toast! Almost immediately after strolling in with a great raid and fresh attitude, he was put down pretty quickly, with 75% of the raid still alive! Excellent healing and careful attention were responsible for the defeat of this son of a bitch. A circle jerk occurred shortly after, with each raid member spraying man-milk on that glowy purple ball he drops when dead. OH YEAHHHH!!!!!!!!!

With some stellar attendance, Dissension destroyed the Eredar Twins! Sunwell Pleateau is truly a heal-intensive instance, and this fight is absolutely no exception. Fortunately, the Twin Whores do drop a nice amount of loot - and even more in 'hard mode' which was rewarding for the numerous wipes caused by various dumbasses and their inability to sit still. Everyone stepped up, and only one more stands between Dissension and Kil'jaeden! HAIL SANTA!
